Abstrakt: | A 2-year-old boy with a hemodynamically insignificant ventricular septal defect was found to have polyvalvular endocarditis, eventually requiring replacement of the pulmonary and mitral valves with a pulmonary conduit and a mechanical valve. Cultures grew Granulicatella adiacens , listed on the microbiological criterion of the updated Duke International Society for Cardiovascular Infectious Diseases criteria.
