Abstrakt: | Correlations between allergic transfusion reactions (ATRs) and allergic predisposition to food and inhaled allergens have been consistently reported. Food or pollen allergens circulating in the blood can be indirectly identified using the basophil activation test. In some cases, food or pollen allergens have been identified in transfused blood products that cause ATRs. (© 2024 AABB.) |
