| Abstrakt: | This article discusses different options and best practices for sample types and sample collection devices for downstream genotyping in today's sophisticated animal husbandry systems. Best practices for sample collection, shipping, and submission of samples are shown and an overview of techniques for laboratory analysis is provided.
