Abstrakt: We present a genome assembly from a female Plecotus auritus (Brown Long-eared bat; Chordata; Mammalia; Chiroptera; Vespertilionidae). The genome sequence is 2163.2 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 16 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.91 kilobases in length.
