Abstrakt: In a clinical isolate of Burkholderia pseudomallei from Hainan, the association between the emergence of ceftazidime resistance and a novel PenA P174L allele was identified for the first time, providing an understanding of one mechanism by which ceftazidime resistance arises in B. pseudomallei.
