Abstrakt: Pre-eclampsia affects 3-4% of pregnancies and is associated with maternal and infant mortality and morbidity. High-risk pregnancies in Denmark are recommended prophylactic low-dose acetylsalicylic acid (LDA). If new screening algorithms are implemented, LDA will be recommended to around 10% of pregnant women. The use of LDA may slightly increase the risk of minor bleeding disturbances. Otherwise, there is a lot of promising data regarding the safety of LDA use during pregnancy, as argued in this review.
