Abstrakt: Competing Interests: R.H.E., R.M., C.D.B., A.G., E.H., E.D.H., Y.L., S.A.N., B.E.N., and H.S. are members of the leadership team of Biosafety Now, a non-profit organization that advocates for strengthened oversight of biosafety, biosecurity, and biorisk management. R.H.E. receives consulting fees related to SARS-CoV-2 and the COVID-19 pandemic. R.M. receives funding from Sanofi for research on influenza and pertussis, is a member of the World Health Organization COVID-19 Vaccine Composition Technical Advisory Group, and is a member of a World Health Organization Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization ad hoc working group. J.P.D. provides contractor support services for U.S. government agencies in the emerging zoonotic disease surveillance, pandemic preparedness/response, and laboratory biorisk management sectors as an employee of Leidos, Inc. (formerly known as Science Applications International Corporation, SAIC). M.W.R. is the author of a book on SARS-CoV-2 and the COVID-19 pandemic. No other authors report conflicts.
