Abstrakt: The shortage of transplants and their corollary, the need for transplants, have led France to expand its organ procurement options. Since 2005, France has benefited from a new medical, legal and organizational framework for organ procurement from deceased donors after circulatory arrest, in accordance with Maastricht category III.
