Abstrakt: In Brazil, mycoplasmas were isolated from the sinuses of Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) from two commercial flocks affected with sinusitis. The major respiratory signs and gross lesions are described. Based on serological and biochemical results, the mycoplasmas isolated were identified as Mycoplasma gallisepticum. One of the isolates was pathogenic for chickens.
