Abstrakt: In the Netherlands, 600 patients are diagnosed with tuberculosis annually, especially refugees and migrants. After arrival in the Netherlands, they are screened with a chest X-ray. However, 45% of patients present with extrapulmonary tuberculosis. We present a case of a 9 year old boy from Eritrea with tuberculosis of the central nervous system. When central nervous system tuberculosis is suspected, further diagnostic testing should be done and therapy started as soon as possible to prevent mortality and morbidity.
