Abstrakt: Competing Interests: Declaration of competing interest Dr. Lanphear declares the following financial interests/personal relationships which may be considered as potential competing interests: Dr. Lanphear served as a non-retained expert witness in the federal fluoride case to describe the results of the fluoride studies using the MIREC cohort (Food & Water Watch, et al. vs. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, United States District Court for the Northern District of California at San Francisco). He received no payment for his service. All other coauthors declare that they have no known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper.
