In cats with elevated systemic arterial blood pressure apilac (1 mg/kg, a single dose or course administration) significantly decreased the arterial vessel wall contents of ions of Na+, Ca2+ and catecholamines the levels of which exceeded control values. Apilac administration to animals with normal systemic arterial blood pressure resulted in a decrease of Ca2+ ion content, an increase of Na+, K+ and Mg2+ ion concentrations in the vessel wall. The content of catecholamines remained in the range of control values. |
