| Abstrakt: | A 71-year-old woman who had been receiving iron injections for at least ten years was admitted to the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, New Brunswick. The initial diagnosis was metastatic tumors in the liver, but after further evaluation, the initial diagnosis was corrected to multiple hepatic abscesses due to Yersinia enterocolitica. The liver biopsy showed abundant iron deposition. With the appropriate antibiotic treatment, the patient recovered. |
