Abstrakt: | Self-crystallisation of 45S5 Bioglass® powder and scaffolds was observed one year after their fabrication. Plate- and acicular-shape crystals, identified as calcium and sodium carbonates, grew at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, without any further treatment. |
