Abstrakt: | From the casting couch to the board room, the media, and beyond, the topic of sexual harassment and bullying can no longer be ignored. Sexual harassment and bullying in medicine has the potential to be the next big headline on these topics. The culture in medicine and especially the hierarchy in surgery often permit this behavior. To improve the culture in orthopaedic surgery regarding sexual harassment and bullying, education must occur. With education, comes acknowledgment and recognition. This permits an ability to act on and improve the culture. This paper will start the dialogue of this difficult topic and provide a call to action for sexual harassment and bullying to become "Never events".
