Abstrakt: Case: We present the case of a 40-year-old man with a fracture to the superior angle of the scapula who was treated nonoperatively for 10 months-leading to a symptomatic nonunion. The patient underwent reconstruction of the nonunion for a painful shoulder and was followed clinically for 3 years. He demonstrated major improvement in function and symptoms.
Conclusion: Nonunions of the scapular superior angle can be effectively managed with surgical reconstruction.
