Abstrakt: Introduction: Bronchopleural fistula represents a formidable complication after pneumonectomies. There are numerous surgical and endoscopic procedures for its treatment.
Clinical Case: We present a case where a coated self-expanding nitinol stent was used to exclude a bronchopleural fistula.
Result: significant improvement in air leakage was observed.
Conclusion: We encourage the use of a covered metal stent in selected patients.
