Abstrakt: | Candida auris ( C. auris) is an opportunistic ascomycetous budding yeast that has been emerging as an invasive, multidrug-resistant pathogen over the past 10 years since its discovery. This fungi is the first to be labeled as a public health threat according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and has since become a major problem in the United States. This serves as a detailed overview of the various factors contributing to the pathogenicity of C. auris . Competing Interests: The authors have declared that no competing interests exist.
