Abstrakt: Summary: Cypress pollen allergy was virtually absent in Lombardy about 30 years ago. A 15-year clinical survey on cypress pollen sensitization and allergy in the area north of Milan reveals that both cypress pollen sensitization and allergy increased steadily from 2003 to 2017 along with the prevalence of clinical allergy over sensitization. The pollen concentration data, recorded up from 1995 showed a dramatic increase in cypress Annual Pollen Index up from the beginning of the new millennium. Cypress pollen represents now a relevant allergen source in this area.
