| Abstrakt: | Permethrin is a medication used in the management and treatment of scabies and pediculosis. It is in the synthetic pyrethroid class of drugs. This activity describes the indications, action, and contraindications for permethrin as a valuable agent in treating scabies and pediculosis. This activity will highlight the mechanism of action, adverse event profile, monitoring, and toxicity of permethrin, as pertinent to members of the healthcare team in the treatment of patients with scabies and pediculosis.
