Abstrakt: This short review will be concerned with the literature that has developed connected with the immunogenetic and tissue compatibility aspects of hand transplantation and will also draw on connected work in the more general area of vascularized composite allotransplantation (VCA) which includes face, abdominal wall uterus and larynx.
