Abstrakt: A 52-year-old woman with epigastralgia and abdominal discomfort was admitted to our hospital. The abdominal CT scan showed that she had intestinal obstruction and peritoneal dissemination. Colonoscopy also revealed a submucosal tumor around the orifice of the appendix. Moreover, histological examination results indicated signet ring cell carcinoma. She was then treated with modified FOLFOX chemotherapy;however, the disease condition progressed after an 8-course treatment, and she died 12 months after the chemotherapy was initiated.
