Abstrakt: Immunoassays have been established over the years as powerful tools for the detection of a wide range of antigens. This review brings together published work in relation to principles of immunoassays utilizing radioisotopes and enzymes, methods of amplifying the sensitivity of immunoassays, the immunochemistry of certain Salmonella antigens and detection of salmonellae by immunoassays.
