| Abstrakt: | Endoplasmic reticulum complexes consisting of up to twenty layers of rough cisternae interleaved with rounded vesicles of semismooth membrane have been observed in large oocytes of the hamster in animals older than 3 weeks of age. The appearance of the complexes varies with the mode of tissue preparation. The possible function of the complexes is discussed. |
