The possibility of using the peroxidase method of the enzyme immunoassay for the detection of C. perfringens cells in the culture fluid of strains, as well as in affected tissues in cases of anaerobic gas gangrene infection, has been shown. This method is highly specific, convenient and takes but 1.5 hrs. |
