Abstrakt: An infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) strain isolated from commercial layers experiencing urolithiasis was 50-100 nm in size and possessed widely spaced, club-shaped surface projections. It was sensitive to lipid solvents and exhibited responses characteristic of IBV when exposed to heat, divalent cations, and trypsin. Reciprocal virus-neutralization tests demonstrated it to be closely related to Gray, JMK, Delaware 2868, and Delaware 2897 strains of IBV.
