The periodontal hemodynamics was investigated in 27 individuals aged 18 to 23. Qualitative evaluation of the curves recorded from marginal gingival sites revealed the identity of the data to those obtained using rheographic and photoplethysmographic techniques. Quantitative parameters of photoplethysmography were somewhat different from rheographic ones, though their course was similar. Pronounced reduction of variability characteristics in the plethysmography substantially increased the informative value of the technique. |
