Abstrakt: Peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) is a rare form of dilated cardiomyopathy that is associated with high maternal morbidity and mortality. Onset is usually between the last month of pregnancy and up to the fifth month postpartum. PPCM usually presents with signs and symptoms of heart failure and rarely with thromboembolic complications. The true incidence of thromboemboli in PPCM is unknown. Herein we report an unusual case of PPCM in a previously healthy woman who presented with recurrent transient ischemic attacks due to thrombus in the left ventricle.
