Abstrakt: Bacillus methanolicus MGA3 was isolated from freshwater marsh soil and characterised as a thermotolerant and methylotrophic L-glutamate producer. The complete genome consists of a circular chromosome and the two plasmids pBM19 and pBM69. It includes genomic information about C1 metabolism and amino acid biosynthetic pathways.
