Abstrakt: The parameters AFP, progesterone, HPL, estriol, SP1 and beta-HCG were evaluated in the sera of 994 pregnant women. The women were in the 5th to 25th weeks of pregnancy. Evaluation was carried out by means of radioimmunoassay and radial immunodiffusion. In collecting the data, we wished to determine whether there was a relationship between the age of the pregnant woman and the changes in parameter values during the course of the pregnancy. With the exception of beta-HCG concentrations, no age dependency was observed. However, the beta-HCG/age interrelationship was minor and without practical consequence.
