| Abstrakt: |
Three patients with fibrous dysplasia were encountered in whom osteosarcoma subsequently developed. A review of published reports and the authors' experience establishes fibrous dysplasia as a premalignant bone lesion. Radiation appears to enhance the inherent tendency towards malignant transformation. |
