The paper is devoted to investigation of possibilities of infection prophylactics in performing surgical intervention. The necessity of organization of the system of epidemiological observations of the outcomes of surgical interventions in treatment-and-prophylactic institution was demonstrated. The results of epidemiological observations and microbiological monitoring performed at the hospitals of St. Petersburg showed using epidemiological diagnostics to be necessary for adequate administration of antibacterial medicines to patients. |
