Abstrakt: A 63-year-old man attended the emergency room with lower back pain. An abdominal CT scan was scheduled. However, after intravenous injection of contrast, the patient became acutely agitated and his tension dropped. After a delay of two minutes the scan was performed and showed massive contrast extravasation due to a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. Subsequently, the patient successfully underwent an emergency laparotomy.
