Abstrakt: Polyurethane, due to its low cost, high versatility and availability, it commonly used for ureteral stents. Spontaneous fracture of these stents is rare, and the most dreaded complication. We present four cases of spontaneous fracture of indwelling polyurethane ureteral stents and review the literature to identify potential factors and preventive strategies.
