| Abstrakt: | Hyperthyroidism is a frequent disease in elderly people. Its diagnosis is often difficult, as its clinical presentation is atypical, with few symptoms. Results of laboratory tests can be difficult to interpret, because of physiological changes due to old age, and small abnormalities. Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as a function of aetiology, are discussed. |
