Abstrakt: Rediagnosing 103 ICD-9 Hysteria cases on DSM-III, the authors found Conversion Disorder and Atypical Dissociative Disorder to be the most common diagnosis. Somatization Disorder was diagnosed only in 8.7 per ant of cases. Twenty-nine per cent cases received double diagnoses. Limitations of using DSM-III on Hysteria patients are mentioned and a suggestion is made to include a new category of 'Simple Dissociative Disorder' in the DSM-III.
