| Abstrakt: |
The high prevalence of tobacco smoking among modern-day children and adolescents largely determines a poor prognosis of human health in future. Smoking prevention among children and adolescents in general educational facilities is the most promising measure to solve this sociomedical problem. The investigation was undertaken to study smoking prevalence among middle school age pupils, to identify the major factors contributing to their taking up smoking, and to define information sources and the pupils' awareness about the negative impact of smoking. |
