Abstrakt: At the moment geriatric revalidation is distributed across nursing homes. The care for long term patients is the main task for nursing homes. Geriatric revalidation (cure) is an accessory task, whereas it often concerns patients with complex problems requiring much attention. Geriatric revalidation should be concentrated, in the same way as has happened with regular revalidation. Larger revalidation units have a shorter admission period and can offer specific care modalities. The change in the financing of geriatric revalidation is a good opportunity to organise this care differently.
