Abstrakt:	This contribution addresses the early years of the sanatorium, founded by the medical doctor and later psychoanalyst Johann Jaroslaw Marcinowski. His approach to therapy, his ideas about interior design as well as landscape gardening were of significant influence on the sanatorium in which Ernst Simmel opened his psychoanalytical clinic in 1927.
