Abstrakt: Periodontal disease is caused by poor oral hygiene. It is the most common cause of oral infection and tooth loss in dogs. Simple periodontal therapy such as repeated root planing at strategic intervals can prevent many serious problems. This chapter presents the origin, clinical presentation, and treatment of periodontal disease in a format that is directly applicable to clinical practice.
