During examination before dental implantation with the use of orthopantomography (OPTG) and computer tomography (CT) stomatological status was studied in 242 patients of the Clinical stomatologic centre of FMBA, Russia. Indices of frequency and intensity of dental caries and periodontal disease were determined, as well as frequency of maxillary sinuses pathology, evaluation of the preliminary endodontic treatment quality was given, morphometric data governing frequency of indications to bone-plastic operations were presented. The advantages of CT over OPTG were shown during patients examination before dental implantations were maid. |
