Abstrakt: | Calculations are made of the electrochemical pumping rates needed to reach known optical lasing thresholds in a dye laser. Rates and yields have been measured.or checked as needed. An optimum cavity is used for the calculations, but the best pumping rate is still more than 2 orders of magnitude below threshold. These calculations help explain the many failures to make an EGCL laser. |
