Abstrakt: Post-traumatic stress disorder is a delayed reaction to an abnormal, traumatic life experience, such as combat, terrorism, an automobile or aircraft accident, a natural disaster, and physical, sexual or psychologic abuse. Major concerns exist about the use of medication in treating post-traumatic stress disorder. Patients suffering from the disorder appear to benefit from psychosocial therapy and spiritual support, in conjunction with medication.
