Abstrakt: The objective of the work was the study of particular features of fatty acid (FA) composition of the low density lipoproteids (LDL) in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) (39,7+/-3,4 years). In patients with MS, compared to the healthy adults of the same age was revealed a significant increase in saturated FAs and significant decrease in unsaturated and polyunsaturated FAs in LDL particles. Significant correlation was revealed between indexes of abdominal adiposity, intima media thickness of arteria carotis communis, and level of some FAs in the LDLs. This changes of FA composition could be a cause of enhancing of LDL atherogenic process in patients with methabolic syndrome.
