Coronary aneurysms are very rare: their frequency ranges between 1% and 2%. The most frequent associated disease in atherosclerosis, although they have also been described associated to: infections or connective tissue diseases, Kawasaki's disease, thoracic traumas and of congenital origin. Furthermore, they are sometimes related to coronary stenting (including drug-eluting stenting) and intracoronary brachytherapy. Their evolution is not well known and their most serious complications are: thrombosis, embolization and rupture. The literature review revealed that they can be treated safely with stent grafts. |
