Abstrakt: Examination of 60 skulls of the children aged 1 to 16 years has established that the size of the choanae determines width and height of the nasopharynx while width of the choanae correlates (r=0.8) with the distance between the inferior turbinated bones. There is also a significant correlation between the shape of the facial vault and the vault flexure.
