Abstrakt: A 52-year-old woman was found to have a small squamous cell carcinoma of the palatal gingiva of teeth 21 and 22. Such a location is extremely rare. Treatment consisted of a partial maxillectomy. The defect was closed by a partial denture. During the 5 year follow-up period no signs of local recurrence or metastatic spread occurred.
