Abstrakt: Renal hydatid disease is a rare condition in temperate climates, but must be diagnosed. The authors describe the systematic radiological and serological assessment for a renal cystic mass establishing a preoperative diagnosis. On the basis of this preoperative diagnosis, essential precautions can be taken to avoid the specific complications of this disease and a nephron-sparing procedure can be performed.
