Abstrakt: The response of patients with uncomplicated falciparum malaria to quinine plus doxycycline was studied in an open clinical trial. The majority (76.2%; n = 16) had plasmodia sensitive to the treatment and 23.8% (n = 5) were resistant. This therapeutic scheme appears to be a good option in uncomplicated falciparum malaria.
