Abstrakt: The "Maison Royale de Saint-Cyr", a royal school for education of poor noble officer's girls, founded by Louis XIV and Mme de Maintenon and working from 1686 to the French Revolution, had an apothicary run by nuns. Its inventory has reached us and its fully and distinct contents well call to mind a 18th century's pharmacy with a large variety of tools for pharmaceutical and chemical preparations, set of furnitures and library. In the garden, a place, carefully cultivated, was reserved to medicinal plants for supply of the apothicary.
